Est. 2009 — Scottsdale, Arizona

Our Story
Stillwater was founded in 2009 by Marcus Reeves, a structural engineer turned pool designer who spent a decade building commercial aquatic facilities before asking a simple question: why don't residential pools get the same level of engineering?
He started designing pools in Paradise Valley that were over-engineered by industry standards — thicker shells, better hydraulics, smarter automation. Architects noticed. Builders noticed. Homeowners noticed.
Today Stillwater is a team of nine — a structural engineer, two designers, and a construction crew that builds every pool themselves. The work has been published in Luxe Interiors + Design, Phoenix Home & Garden, and Architectural Digest.
Still in Scottsdale. Still over-engineering every pool.
Design Philosophy
Every Stillwater pool is a structural vessel designed to last fifty years. We don't build to code. We build past it.
Scottsdale's climate, light, and landscape demand pools that belong here. We design with the sun path, the mountain views, and the monsoon season in mind.
A pool is not a hole with water. It is an architectural element — as considered as the home's roofline, as intentional as its floor plan.

The Team
One structural engineer. Two designers. Six craftspeople. We don't subcontract the critical work — excavation, steel, shotcrete, tile, and finishes are all done by Stillwater crews. When you hire us, you get us.

Still water runs deep.
